Abstrak

ABSTRACT

The objective of this research is to understand the relationship between self concept and learning style with biology learning result at class of XI in SMA Negeri 5 South Solok. This is a descriptive research. The population of this reserch is the student of XI IPA (science) class that consists of XI IPA1, XI IPA2 and  XI IPA3 which are 74 students in total. The entire students of XI IPA are taken as sample. The data are analyzed by normality test, regression corelative test, dobled regression test and hypothesis test using SPSS 16.0 program. The analysis result using regression corelative formula shows that there is relationship bertween self concept and students biology learning result by correlative coefficient with r is 0,578 and the persentage of self concept relationship whit students biologi learning result is 33,4%, learning style relationship with students biology learning result by correlative coefficient with r is 0,481 and the persentage of learning style relationship whit students biologi learning result is 23,1%. The relationship between self concept and learning style with students biology learning result are analyzed by doubled regressing and it obtains correlative coefficient with r is o,579 and the persentage of self concept relationship and learning style with students biologi learning result is 33,5%. The hypotesis result using F test at real standard of 0,05 so  = 17,880 and  = 3,126 the value will be  >  then  it can be concluded as  is accepted and  is rejected. The research result says that there is positive relationship between self concept and learning style with students biology learning result of XI class in SMA Negeri 5 South Solok
