REVIEW OF INTEREST STUDENT LEARNING AND CORRELATION WITH CITIZENS HOMESTEADER LEARNING OUTCOMES IN BIOLOGY SMP N 38 DISTRICT TEBO, JAMBI

Abstract
This study aims to determine student interest of citizens of migrants and its correlation with biology study result at SMPN 38 Tebo. This is a descriptive study with a population of 83 students in SMPN 38 Tebo enrolled in the second semester of the year 2014/2015, the entire sample of students citizens of migrants is 72 students. The variables of this research is student interest as a variable X and learning outcomes as a variable Y. The type of data that is primary data obtained by using questionnaires and secondary data from biology study result student that the research samples obtained from the Biology teacher. The data is processed by using SPSS 16.0 and analyzed using Product Moment Correlation, From the research it appears that there is a correlation with biology study result student. The correlation coefficient for each sub variable research is a sense of excitement sub biology students learn the average interest of 2.77 with the learning outcomes obtained r = 0.484. Sub variable attention biology students learn the average interest of 3.13 with the learning outcomes obtained r = 0.275. Sub willingness of students to learn biology variable average interest of 2.91 with the results obtained by r = 0.360. Sub variable curiosity biology students learn the average interest of 2.77 with the learning outcomes obtained r = 439. Furthermore, the calculation of the coefficient of determination shows that the relationship student interest transmigrans citizens studying biology at 45.2%.
