Abstrak

This research of background from the fact that the school, the lack of critical thinking skills of students in learning IPS, to improve students critical thinking skills in learning IPS conducted PTK using a model TPS. The subject of this study is the fourth grade students of SDN 04 Kampung Olo Padang totaling 28 students. The instrument used is the observation sheet activities of teachers, students' critical thinking observation sheets, test sheets, field notes, and cameras. Based on the research that has been done can be seen the average students critical thinking skills in learning IPS in the first cycle 55.43% and 83.07% in the second cycle. The average value of the test learning cycle one is 63.12 and the second cycle was 71.78. From the research results can be concluded by using the TPS models can improve critical thinking skills fourth grade students at learning IPS in SDN 04 Kampung Olo Padang.
