PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPS MELALUI METODE INKUIRI DI SD NEGERI 29 ULAK KARANG UTARA PADANG

Abstrak

This study of low activity in the background backs student learning. Learning that teachers lack applying various methods, only using methods lectures, discussions and less use of media as a tool. This study aims to describe the increase in student learning activities in doing the exercises, discussions and make conclusions on social studies learning through inquiry method. This research is a classroom action research. The subjects were fourth grade students of the second semester of the academic year 2014/2015 numbered 31 people. Instrument research used in this study is the observation sheet student activities, teacher observation sheet activities, field record,  the end of the test cycle and dokumentation. The results showed an increase of the activity of student learning. The exercise of work activity cycle I is 57.69% to 83.52% in the second cycle. Activities discussion of the first cycle is 45.86% to 83.52% in the second cycle. Activity makes the conclusion of the first cycle  is  40.48% to 80.12% in cycle II. This means the implementation of the IPS study using the inquiry method in class IV Elementary School 29 North Ulak Karang Padang is going well.
