This study was motivated by the low activity and student learning outcomes in grade VI-B science teaching at SDN 11 Kinali. It is characterized by low activity and low student verbal cognitive learning outcomes (level pengetahuaan) students in the know (remember) the lessons. The purpose of this study is to describe the increasing activity and cognitive learning outcomes of students in learning science by Model Talking Stick. The subject of this research is class VI-B 2014/2015 school year totaling 27 people, 15 men and 12 women. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK). The instrument is observation sheet student activities, teacher activity, achievement test, documentation and field notes. The results show the average percentage of the activity of the students to answer questions first cycle was 66.7% and the second cycle was 85.2%, the increase reached 18.5%. While the average cognitive abilities of students in the know (remember) the lessons first cycle is 59.3 of 27 students who completed are as many as 16 people, and a second cycle average cognitive abilities of students in the know (remember) the lesson is 81.1, of the 27 students who completed 22 people, the increase reached 21.8. The results showed that, learning science by using Model Talking Stick can enhance the activity and student learning outcomes Class VI-B. Based on the results of this study researchers suggest that other researchers can use the Model Talking Stick as relevant research to improve the activity and student learning outcomes.
