Abstrak

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to describe Increasing student motivation in taking into account the teacher's explanation, asking, answering questions, doing exercises on time in science teaching fifth grade students of SD 24 BatangAnai after using a strategy of Card Sort. This research is a classroom action research conducted collaboratively. The research instrument used is a sheet motivation of students and teachers. This research was conducted in two cycles. The subject of this research is class V SD 24 BatangAnai totaling 30 people. Results of this study stated that the results of the analysis of the students' motivation observation sheet obtained an average percentage in the first cycle was 59.58%, while in the second cycle the average percentage obtained 73.75%. The percentage of mastery learning in the first cycle was 36.67% with an average value of 57.77 while the percentage of mastery learning on the second cycle was 76.67% with an average value of 77.10.  From the results obtained it can be concluded that science learning through Card Sort strategy can enhance students' motivation class V SD 24 BatangAnai. Based on these results, it is suggested that teachers can use and choose Strategy Card Sort in science teaching in elementary school.
