Abstrak


    
The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in speech class V students in learning Indonesian through role playing models in SDN 01 South Ulak Karang Padang. Theory referenced in this research is the theory proposed by Hamalik (2014) on education, the theory of Sardiman (2011) and Hamalik (2014) which discusses the study, the theory proposed by Hamalik (2014) and Sagala (2012) on learning, the theory of Susanto (2013) about learning Indonesian in SD, the theory of Tarigan (1891) about speaking, the theory of Istarani (2011) and Sagala about the role playing learning model. The learning model is the way role playing mastery learning materials through the development of imagination and appreciation of learners into a situation of real life problems. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. Cycles I held three meetings and the second cycle are also three meetings. The subjects were students of class V SDN 01 South Ulak Karang Padang, amounting to 33 people. The instrument used was a teacher assessment sheet activity, student assessment sheets speaking ability, and achievement test. The result showed that the learning model of role playing can increase the activity of teachers of the first cycle of 66,66% increased in the second cycle into 88,88%. Improve their speaking ability for each indicator from the first cycle to second cycle 63,75 into 89,17. And mastery learning outcomes of students has increased at an average first cycle of learning outcomes learning completeness percentage of 69,09 with 36,36% and the second cycle an average of 84,84 with learning completeness percentage of 96,96%. It can be concluded that the role playing learning model can improve the ability to speak graders V in learning Indonesian in SDN 01 South Ulak Karang Padang.
