NOVEL RINDU KARYA TERE LIYE: SUATU ANALISIS SOSIOLOGI SASTRA

Abstrak

This research aims to describe social reality on novel Rindu by Tere Liye. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive methods. This method collects the words and dialogue relating to the social reality in the novel Rindu by Tere Liye as the data. Object of this research is novel Rindu by Tere Liye the terms of the sociology of literature with regard social reality. Research instruments is author’s self. Technique of data analysis were: (1) reading and understanding novel Rindu by Tere Liye, (2) noting all related data with research problem, and (3) classifying the data. From the research, it was discovered the social reality of the Indonesian commnunity in the novel Rindu by Tere Liye include: (1) social interaction, (2) values and social norms, (3) social stratification, (4) social status, (5) culture, (6) social role, and (7) social change. Based on the results of data analysis can be summed up picture of social relationships set in the colonial era contained in the novel Rindu by Tere Liye with the colonial period in Indonesia actually very close.
