THE VALUE OF PRATAGONIST EDUCATION CHARACTER IN THE NOVEL HATTA AKU DATANG KARENA SEJARAH CREATION BY SERGIUS SUTANTO

Abstrak

This research aimed to describe protagonist educational value of the main characters in the novel Hatta Aku Datang Karena Sejarah. The theory used in this research about character education stated by Hasan and friends (2010) covering 18 aspects of character education values. The type of this research was qualitative research by using descriptive method. Based on the analysis data in novel Hatta Aku Datang Karena Sejarah was found twelve aspects of character educational value with the amount of forty-two data consisting of, friends / communicative as much as seven data, the national spirit as much as six data, love of the homeland as much as five data, like reading as much as five data, religious as much as four data, creative as much as four data, curiosity as much as three data, the three social care data to be honest as much as two data, the tolerance as one data, discipline as much as one data, and hard work as much as one data. While the value of character education was not found there are six aspects: the independent, democratic, recognize excellence, love of peace, environmental care and responsibility. The value of the characters that appear in the novel Hatta Aku Datang Karena Sejarah created by Sutanto Sergius, giving meaningful values in life. It can be concluded that the novel Hatta Aku Datang Karena Sejarah created by Sutanto Sergius can be used as a media in the value character cultivation.
