MAKNA IDIOM DALAM LIRIK LAGU ZALMON ALBUM RATOK MINANG: SUATU TINJAUAN SEMANTIK

Abstrak

This research aimed by finding the used of word having idiomatic meaning in minang song lyric by Zalmon. Need undrrstanding meaning wthim Zalmon song lyric, because words that used inside song lyric has meaning that can not interpret the elements lexically or grammatically. The purpose of this research is to describe the idiomatic meaning in zalmon lyrics song at ratok minang album that was viewed from semantic aspect. The theories that were used were proposed by Abdul Chaer also some supported theories, such as Mansoer Pateda, Gorys Keraf, and Wasrie. The research design was descriptive qualitative, by collecting the data, identifying the data, analyzing the data, interpreting the data and summarizing the result of the data. The object of this research was zalmon’s song lyrics at Ratok Minang Album. Based on the findings, it was showed that there were 15 using of idiomatic meaning in part of body, 1 word of sense and 9 words of nature things. It can be concluded that the most of using idiomatic meaning was idiomatic meaning in part of body. The domination using of idiomatic meaning was caused by the meaning that want to tell about the sadness that happened by someone.
