Abstrak

Abstract
    This study was motivated by the low activity and student learning outcomes that activity to gather information and associate / conclude the lesson. This research aims to improve the activity and student learning outcomes in class IV-B IPS learning Problem Based Learning model in SD Negeri 04 Kampung Olo. This research is the subject of a class action with grade IV-B 2nd semester 2014/2015 academic year, the number of students 27 people. Data were obtained by using the observation sheet instruments teacher activity, student activity observation sheet, sheet affective domain of learning outcomes (discipline, responsibility and collaboration) students and sheets final test of cognitive (understanding) students. The results showed increased activity and student learning outcomes of each cycle. Results of student activity observation on information gathering activity indicator 47.67% in the first cycle, the second cycle increased to 81.48%. Results of student activity observation associate 45.82% in the first cycle, the second cycle increased to 79.63%. The average results of student learning affective domain (discipline, responsibility and collaboration) first cycle increased to 78.39 from 63.58 in the second cycle. The average level of cognitive learning outcomes (understanding) students in the first cycle is 13 people with an average value of 67.78 risen to 22 people with an average value of 80.37 in the second cycle, while the level of completeness is 33.33% , Based on the results of the study concluded that the activities and results of students of class IV-B on learning IPS in Kampung Olo SD Negeri 04 can be improved by using the model of Problem Based Learning.
