Abstrak

Abstract

          This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of fourth grade students in learning social studies in elementary school 06 Jambak Padang Pasir. This research is a class action, in this study carried out with reference to PTK design consisting of: (1) planning, (2) implementation of measures, (3) Observation / observation, (4) Reflection. The subjects were 06 students of SD Negeri Padang Pasir Jambak the number of students 31 people consisting of 17 male students and 14 female students. The instrument used in this study is the observation sheet teacher activity, observation sheets affective domain (responsibility and cooperation) students, the end of the cycle test sheet on the assessment of cognitive (understanding) students and field record sheet. Based on the research that has been conducted completeness of student learning outcomes of cognitive (understanding) in the first cycle is 13 people with an average value of 62.26 risen to 25 people with an average value of 74.03 in the second cycle. The average results of student learning affective domain (responsibility and cooperation) students in the first cycle is 62.86 increased to 74.35 in the second cycle. Thus, it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of fourth grade students in learning social studies in elementary school 06 Padang Pasir Jambak can be enhanced by the
model of Discovery Learning.
