Abstrak

The background study by low yields cognitive learning and psychomotor V grade students in learning science. Factors causing low learning outcomes of students in the lerning process because the teachers gives the lesson material and read the script, while student are asked to listen to and record, making the student merely as passive listeners in the classroom. This causes the learning outcomes of students in science subjects to be low. Therefore, the effort for change to improve the learning process so that students are able to solve a problem with the application of the model problem based learning (PBL). The pupose of this research is to improve students learning outcomes V class with a model problem based learning (PBL) in public elementary school 20 Kurao Pagang. Based on the research results obtained student learning outcomes in the cognitive cycle I with an average of 73,26 with the percentage of completeness 56,5 %  increase in cycle II with an average of 81,95 with the percentage of completeness of 82.6 %. Later in the first cycle I psychomotor gained an average of 69.8 and increased in the second cycle II with an average of 73.82. it can be coucluded that the study results on cognitive and psychomotor of students in class V with a models problem based learning (PBL) in public elementary school 20 Kurao Pagang increased.
