Abstrak

The background of this research inactivity IVA grade students on thematic learning on the theme of beauty Negeriku in SD Yos Sudarso Padang. It is seen in the learning process, low activity of students through questioning and discussion, as well as low activity of students in concluding / associate lesson. There are still many students who do not pay attention when the teacher explains lessons and talking with friends sebangkunya. The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in IVA grade students' learning activities on thematic learning on the theme of beauty Negeriku Problem Based Learning model in SD Yos Sudarso Padang. This type of research is composed of two silkus PTK. The subjects were students of class IVA. The research was conducted in the second semester of the Academic Year 2014/2015. The research instrument used in this study is the observation sheet student activities, teacher activity observation sheet, and final test cycle. Based on data analysis, the average amount of student activity in asking, discussing and concluding / associate subjects in the first cycle 34% increase to 79.41% in the second cycle. The average percentage of students who have grades above KKM in the first cycle of 50% with an average of 74 increased to 92% with an average of 87 on the second cycle. The final conclusion is that thematic learning on the theme of beauty Negeriku using problem based learning model can improve students' learning activities IVA class SD Yos Sudarso Padang. It is therefore recommended to teachers to use the Problem Based Learning model of learning in primary schools.
