Abstrak

The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in students writing skills through a model class IV.B  in learning Indonesian Group Investigation (GI) at SDN 24 Jati Gaung Padang. The theory is used as reference in this study is theory proposed by Slameto (2010) and Majid (2014) regarding learn, Hamalik (2014) and Sagala (2012) which discusses learning, Istarani (2012) and Taufik and Muammadi on learning model GI, Dalman (2014) and Supriadi (1997) on the ability to write. This research is a classroom action research conducted two cycles. Cycles one held three meetings and two cycles are also three meetings. Thr subjects were student of class IV SDN 24 Jati Gaung Padang amounting to 25 people. The instruments  used were sheets of teacher activity assesment, assesment of student activity sheet, and achievement test. The result showed that GI learning model can improve students writing to each indicator of cycle I 42,66% to cycle II 83,33%. UH mastery learning outcomes experienced at the end of cycle I increased average learning outcomes is 54,2 while the percentage of mastery learning is 40% and on mastery learning is 40% and on average II cycle of learning outcomes is 84,4 while the percentage of completeess learn is 92% by KKM 75. It can be concluded that GI learning model can improve  students writing class IV.B in learning Indonesian in SDN 24 Jati Gaung Padang.
