Abstrak

This research is motivated by the ability to write the first grade students in learning Indonesian still seemed low , seen at the time of learning is still lack of writing skills of students , such students are still difficulties in writing capital letters , writing clarity and neatness in writing about the task. The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in students' writing skills in writing capital letters , writing clarity and neatness of handwriting through the method of SAS . This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The subjects of the study consisted of first grade students of SDN 07 Six Lingkung which amounts to 32 people . The research instrument is observation sheet learning activities of teachers , students' writing skills observation sheets , and field notes . Based on the results obtained by analysis of the average percentage of the overall students' writing skills in the first cycle three indicators gained with the average value of the class after the first cycle test gained 66.34 , while in the second cycle meningakat with the average value of the class after the test cycle II increased to 81.03. This means that the target indicators in this study successfully and implementation of learning with SAS method is progressing well. From these results it can be concluded that learning Indonesian with SAS method can improve students' writing ability .
