PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPS MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN THINK PAIR AND SHARE DI SDN 10 SUNGAI SAPIH KOTA PADANG

Abstrak

The research is motivated by the low activity of social studies grade IV-A Elementary School 10 Sungai Sapih. The purpose of this study was to describe the improvement of student learning activities do exercises, discussions, and asked students in grade IV-A on learning social studies in elementary school 10 Sungai Sapih by using a model Think Pair and Share. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) is conducted in two cycles. The research subjects IV-A grade students in the academic year 2014/2015, amounting to 39 people. The instrument used is the observation sheet teacher learning activities, student activity observation sheet. The results obtained by the average percentage of students doing exercise activity score in the first cycle was 58.97% increased in the second cycle into 83.28%, student discussion activity in the first cycle was 58.97% increased in the second cycle to 80.12% and activity asks students in the first cycle was 47.43% increased in the second cycle into 76.90%. Based on the results of the research, concluded that the activity of students of class IV-A Sungai Sapih Elementary School 10 in IPS can be improved by learning model Think Pair and Share. Researchers suggest that teachers can use the model Think Pair and Share to increase student activity. Keywords: IPS, Learning Activities, model Think Pair and Share
