Abstrak

The purpose of this research was to describe improvement ofactivitiesandresult oflearningfourth grade students SDN 01 Ulak Karang Selatan Padang by usingcooperative integratedreading composition(CIRC) model. Theory this research was stated by Hamalik (2014) and Istarani (2012) about learning model CIRC. The type of this research was classroom action research that conducted in two cycles. Cycle I held three meetings and the second cycle are also three meetings. The subject was fourth grade students in SDN 01 Ulak Karang Selatan Padang that totaling 25 people. The instruments used in this research were observation of teacher activity sheet, observation of student activity sheet, and achievement test. The results showed that the CIRC learning model can improve students' learning activities for each indicator from the first cycle to cycle II 47.33% 81.33%. UH completeness learning outcomes has increased at the end of the first cycle of the average result of learning is 70 while the percentage is 48% and the average second cycle of learning outcomes is 87.2 while the percentage passing grade is 88% with KKM 75. Therefore, it can be concluded that the CIRC learning model can improve the activity and learning outcomes of fourth grade students learning Indonesian in SDN 01 Ulak Karang Selatan Padang.
