PENERAPAN MODEL MISSOURI MATHEMATICS PROJECT PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 21 PADANG

Abstract
There are several factors caused the students low score in math, such as students couldnot to communicate their own ideas and to precentated the problem to mathematics, it makes student shy to ask the teacher eventough they did not understand the lesson well. One may to help the children to communicate their idea in to mathematics is by given the lesson step by step, starting by review, development, controlling exercise, seatwork and closing. The correct model for this characteristic is Missouri Mathematics Project. The purposed of this research was to describe students development activities in math and to test the students score in math by using Missouri Mathematics Project made better than using convensional method. The population in this research was class VII SMP N 21 Padang in register academic year 2014/2015 there were eight class. The sample was choose based an the homogeny varience and have same means. It were two class selected sample. The class VII.2 it were 34 studetns as experiment class and VII.1 it were 34 students as controlled class. The instrumentation were observation sheet and students result score. Based on the analyze data in found the data from observation sheet include 6 indicators there was students increasing activities for each of the indicators. The students result test was = 4,04 and = 1,681 in degree, because the hypothesize was accepted. The students result score by using Missouri Mathematics Project was increased than using convensional study.
