Abstrak

Abstract

The low result of students mathematics learning in VIII grade of SMP N 2 X Koto Diatas, caused by several factor such as the teachers role is more dominant than students, students are not accustomed to express their opinions and ask in learning. To solve this problem the author conducted research with application of innovative learning technigues Gallery Walk in students mathematics learning. This research aims to determine the activity and result of students mathematics leraning with aplication of innovative learning technigues gallery walk. The type of this research is experiment. Population of this research is all students of VIII grade SMP N 2 X Koto Diatas the year of academic 2014/2015. Are three classes. A sample selected is VIII.1 as a class experiment and VIII.2 as a class control. Learning activity data obtained from observations sheets, comprised of 5 indicators of students activity. The result obtained by tends of increased students activities. To test the hypotesis used t-test by level . Account data of students learning is t = 2,2363 and ttable = 1,686. Because of t > ttable so the research hypotesis is accepted. So the learning outcomes of students learning mathematics applying innovative learning technigues gallery walk is better than learning outcomes of students learning mathematics applying conventional learning.
