Abstrak

This research is motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes fifth grade students at SDN 09 IV Koto Aur Malintang. The purpose of this study was to describe the learning outcome of students in class V in mathematics learning through project-based on learning models in SDN 09 IV Koto Aur Malintang. The type of this research used classroom action research is conducted in two cycles. Source of data in this research is student fifth grade SDN 09 IV Koto Aur Malintang, the amount of students is 26. The Instruments in this research used the observation sheet activities of teachers and students' achievement test. In the first cycle of student learning outcomes completeness percentage is 66.67% and the second cycle of student learning outcomes completeness percentage reached 80%. So the percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes from the first cycle to the second cycle increased 13.33%. Of student learning outcomes obtained can be concluded that the study of mathematics through project-based learning models can improve student learning outcomes SDN 09 V class IV Koto Aur Malintang. Based on these results, the researchers suggested that teachers can use and selecting appropriate models or relevant in teaching, which can use the model of Project Based Learning to improve student learning outcomes.
