Abstrak

This research is motivated by the lack of ability of class III student learning outcomes in social studies learning. In the learning process the teachers tend to use the lecture method. Thus resulting in lower student learning outcomes, to the researchers propose a solution to apply the model picture and picture in learning IPS. The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in the ability to ask and class III student learning outcomes in thematic learning through the model picture and picture in SDN 12 Nan Sabaris. Subjects in this study is the third grade students of SDN 12 Nan Sabaris, totaling 30 students. The research instrument used in this study is the ability to use sheet affective aspects of teacher observation sheet and test sheet or matter. Based on the results of this research is the result of student learning 68 first cycle increased to 78.33 in the second cycle, students' ability affective 51.25 meningkat76,25 cycle I cycle II. It can be concluded that the IPS learning through the model picture and picture can level at the third grade SDN 12 Nan Sabaris. Based on these results the researchers recommend that teachers can apply the model picture and picture with either the IPS study in accordance with the material being taught.
