Abstrak

The research is motivated by the low activity in the VA grade students at SDN 24 IPS learning Gaung Jati Padang. The research objective is to increase activity in the VA grade students learning through the model IPS Student Teams Achievement Division at SDN 24 Gaung Jati Padang. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK) is conducted in two cycles. The data source is the class VA at SDN 24 Gaung Jati Padang numbered 20 people. The instrument used observation sheets student activities, teacher activity observation sheet and test results of learning. Based on the analysis of learning activities of students, the percentage of student activity at each cycle has increased. In the first cycle of 53.33% increased to 81.28 in the second cycle. Student learning outcomes also increased in the first cycle of 35% increased to 84.2% in the second cycle. It can be concluded that there is increased activity in the VA grade students learning through the model IPS Student Teams Achievement Division at SDN 24 Gaung Jati Padang. Use of Student Teams Achievement Division models can be used for other subjects in a way that is slightly different and more interesting again in order to get maximum results.
