Abstrak

This research based on poor result of studying activity student grade IV program study social science in SDN 17 at Talau Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Purpose of this research is to descript students learning outcome grade IV program study social science in SDN 17 Talau by using model problem based learning. Kind of this research is Class Action Research (CAR) and it’s implemented cycle by cycle. This research implemented in two cycle, each of cycle consists two times meeting and  one times meeting with test. Subjects of this research are 12 students grade IV SDN 17 Talau. Instrument used in this research are observation sheet of teacher activity, observation sheet aspect affectif, question sheet, cognitif, and study result test. Based on the research result, known students outcome in cognitif aspect increase from cycle I 50% become 75% on cycle II, while students outcome in affectif aspect increase from cycle I 66,66% become 75% on cycle II. Then, students daily test average cycle I 68,37 with co study completeness percentage 50% and students daily test average cycle II 80,83% with completeness percentage 75%. By the result, can conclude, studying social science by using model problem based learning could increase students grade IV outcome SDN 17 Talau Kabupaten Padang Pariaman.
