Abstrak

The purpose of this research to describe the improvement of activity for asking and learning outcomes in Indonesian language learning by using snowball throwing model at SDN 27 Sago. The theory that made reference are  the theory stated by Sardiman (2001) about the activity, the theory stated by Sudjana (2012) about the learning outcomes, and the theory stated by Istarani (2012) about  Snowball Throwing model. The type of this research was classroom action research conducted two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. The results showed an increase in the activity of students the first cycle was 62%, increased in the second cycle to 78%. The average results of student learning first cycle was 73.1, an increase in the second cycle to 73.3. Implementation of the learning process of teachers also increased from 76.5% (first cycle) to 83% (cycle II). This means that the implementation of the Indonesian Language learning using snowball throwing models goes well. Based on the results of this study concluded that the use of Snowball Throwing learning model can improve the activity of asking and learning outcomes in Indonesian Language learning at students fifth grade SDN 27 Sago South Coastal District.
