Abstrak

Abstract

The learning process in SMP Negeri 8 Bukittinggi showed that the students were less active during discussion group, the lack of students’ interaction when they were solving the questions. When the teachers gave them to ask about the subjects that had been studied, the students did not use it well.  The teachers asked to do the exercises, only some of them did it seriously. To overcome this problem, one of efforts that can be done is by implementing the cooperative learning model type Course Review Horay and it is expected that the students are more active in learning process and comprehend the subjects that are taught so that the students are easy to solve the exercises of mathematics with pleasure. The type of this research is experimental research. Based on the data analysis the learning activity of the students while using cooperative leaning model type Course Review Horay in the class of VIIISMP Negeri 8 Bukittingi, it can be concluded that the learning activity of the students can be assumed good enough. However, the data of students learning outcomes in the second grade done by hypothesis experiment was derived ,                         Since , then the hyphothesis that was experimented is accepted, that is the learning outcomes of mathematics using learning model type Course Review Horay is better than the the learning outcomes of mathematics using usual learning model in the class of VIII of SMP Negeri 8 Bukittinggi.
