PENERAPAN METODE INKUIRI PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA KELAS VIII SMP KARTIKA 1-7 PADANG

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of student learning outcomes as a result of the lack of ability of the to students to understand the concepts in math, lack of interaction with the teachers and students tenda to passive student in learning. So the researchers applied teh method of inkuiri that direct students to be bale to think and play an active role in ther won learning process and experience learning experience so that learning becomes mode interesting and meaningful for students. The propose of this study was to test whether teh learning outcomes of students learning matematis applying inkuiri method is butter than learning outcomes of students whose learning matematis premises ordinary learning in matematis tracking eighth grade students of SMP Kartika 1-7 Padang. Teh hypothesis of teh study is teh result of applying learning matematis class VIII SMP Kartika 1-7 Padang. This research is experimental. The population is eighth grade students of SMP Kartika 1-7 Padang which consists of 6 chassis. Sample were selected from a population that is normally distributed and homogeneous. For sampling conducted by random sampling techniques, selected VIII 6 class with 30 students as control and VIII 2 class with 30 students as a class experiment. Hypothesis test student learning outcomes were analyzed by using t the results of students matematis learning by applying teh method of inquiry is better tuan learning outcomes of students learning by applying the method of inkuiri is butter than learning outcomes of students learning matematis ordinary junior high student Kartika kelas VIII 1-7 Padang. As the authors suggestion that the terachir or the reader can apply the reader can apply the method of inkuiri in matematis learning as an alternative to improve students matematis learning outcomes.
