Abstrak

Abstract

The process of learning mathematics in class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Muara Bungo still centered to the teacher. Students simply accept what is conveyed by the teacher so that the students look passive. Even some students who do not pay attention when the teacher explains the subject matter. When the teacher gives the opportunity for students to ask questions about the material that has been studied mostly silent student did not respond. When the teacher gives homework or practice, there are also students who do not do homework or practice on the grounds do not understand or left behind. This resulted in less student learning activities and results of students' mathematics learning is low. To solve this problem, one way to do that is applying the learning model articulation. From the research data that has been analyzed, shows that students' learning activity experienced up and down at each meeting, and the learning outcome data were analyzed by t-test, the data showed that the learning outcomes of students who apply mathematics learning model is better articulation of the data of student learning outcomes applying conventional learning in class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Muara Bungo although in fact the increase of students who pass the class that uses more conventional learning models.
