PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS V PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPA MELALUI MODEL EXPLICIT INSTRUCTION DI SD NEGERI 19 PAINAN SELATAN KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN
Abstrak
This study aimed to describe the increase in motivation and student learning outcomes, using the model of Explicit Instruction in fifth grade the State Elementary School 19 Painan South, South Coastal District. This type of research is classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings and one final exam cycle. The subjects were students of fifth grade the State Elementary School 19 Painan South, totaling 21 people. The research instrument used is the observation sheet student motivation, observation sheets teacher teaching activities, student questionnaire sheet, and the final test sheet of cycle. From the research results, obtained an average of observation result student motivation in the first cycle indicator asks students 30,83 and students answer questions 51,66 While students work together in discussion groups an average of 62,77. In the second cycle increased as follows: students ask 73,80 and the students answered questions 80.95. While the average student work together in a discussion group increased to 88,97. An increase of completeness the learning outcomes in the first cycle was 42.85% with an average value of 70,47 and increased in the second cycle into 85,71% with an average value of 83,69. From the results of this study concluded that learning Science with Explicit Instruction model can improve motivation and student learning outcomes. Based on this study, the researchers suggested that teachers use models Explicit Instruction in learning Science in State Elementary School 19 Painan South.
