PENERAPAN MODEL EXAMPLES NON EXAMPLES PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VII SMPN 27 PADANG

In the learning process there are several factors that lead to low mathematics learning outcomes, which are caused by the difficulty of students to understand the subject matter, habits are passive in the learning process may result in some students are afraid and ashamed to ask the teacher about the material that has not been understood. To overcome this problem researchers tried to conduct research by applying non Examples Examples models. The purpose of this study was to determine the development of students' mathematics learning activities after applying the model Examples Non Examples in class VII SMPN 27 Padang and to determine whether the study results apply mathematics student learning Non Examples Examples models better than the learning outcomes of students learning mathematics applying the usual learning. This type of research is experimental research. The population in this study included all students of class VII SMPN Padang 27 school year 2014/2015. The sample in this study VII8 class as an experimental class and the class as a class VII6 control. Learning activity data obtained from observation sheet consisting of six aspects of the activities, results obtained, student learning activities for each meeting is likely to increase. Then data result of learning on grade sample obtained from the test. The test results were analyzed to test the hypothesis using χ2 formula for two independent samples. From the analysis, obtained χ2 = 6.57 and p = 0.0205. Therefore p<0.05 mean H0 rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus, it was concluded that the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning in experimental class is higher than the proportion of students who achieve a passing grade on grade control. This means that the learning outcomes are learning to apply mathematical models Non Examples Examples are better than the results of learning mathematics learning to apply the usual learning
