Abstrak

Background of this research is the students’ difficulties in  understanding Math material for second grade students II SDN 10 V Koto Kampung Dalam. The purpose of this research is to improve learning outcomes approach. Realistic mathematics education research is classroom action research (PTK) is implemented in the second semester of the 2015/2016 academic year at SDN 10 V Koto Kampung Dalam. The subjects were second grade students of SDN 10 V Koto Kampung Dalam totaling 25 people. This study consisted of two cycles, which held two meetings each cycle and the end of the given test cycle. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes in cycles I and II was increased where the average value in the first cycle gained an average of 77.2 and the second cycle an average of 88.2. This means that the implementation of Learning Math through Realistic Mathematics Education approach goes well. Based on the research results can be concluded that the Realistic Mathematics Education approach can improve learning outcomes in mathematics in class II SDN 10 V Koto Kampung Dalam. Results of this study are expected to be useful for teachers and readers in order to improve student learning outcomes in the classroom.
