Abstrak

This research is motivated by the attitude of the students during the learning process Civics students were passive and chatting while learning. The purpose of this study was to describe the creativity of students on civics lesson with scientific approach, and also to improve cognitive learning outcomes of students. Type of research is classroom action research used collaboratively. This study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings and continued with achievement test. Daari subject of this study is the fifth grade students of SDN 28 Jorong Nan Tigo totaling 18 people, consisting of 7 male students and 11 female students. The research instrument used in this study is the observation sheet activities of teacher, student activity sheets observation, field notes and test results of student learning. Based on the analysis of process observation sheet activities of students in the first cycle of creativity asking students obtained percentage was 33% and 55%, while the creativity of gathering information is by 33% and 66%. While the classical learning completeness amounted to 66.66% with an average value of 6.77. In the second cycle of creativity asking to increase to 88% and collect information increased to 83%. Student achievement test also increased from 66.66% to 83.33% with an average value of 7.72. On average the process of teachers is 78.28% on every cycle. This means that the implementation of Civics with scientific approach goes well. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the teaching Civics scientific approach can enhance the creativity and learning outcomes fifth grade students of SDN 28 Jorong Nan Tigo. Based on the results of this study researchers suggest that teachers can choose and use the same methods and approaches or relevant in teaching, such as by using a scientific approach that can make students more creative in learning.
