Abstrak

This research is motivated by the low interest of students and student learning outcomes in subjects Civics. Researchers chose the model Project based learning can improve learning outcomes for students in the subjects of civics. This type of research is that researchers do classroom action research conducted collaboratively. The research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings and continued with achievement test. Subjects were fourth grade students of SDN 28 Jorong Nan Tigo of 20 people consisting of 8 men and 12 women. The research instrument used is the observation sheet activities of teachers, observation sheets attitudes and skills of students, field notes and test results of learning. Based on the analysis of data in the first cycle obtained an average percentage of student learning outcomes in the affective aspect with good and sufficient category is 67.5%, the cognitive aspects of learning completeness was 60% with an average value of 66.5 and psychomotor aspects in both categories and enough is 80%. In the second cycle obtained an average percentage of student learning outcomes in the affective aspect with good and sufficient category is 82.5%, the cognitive aspect of completeness is 85% with an average value of 77 and psychomotor aspects is 100%. On average the process of teachers in each cycle was 72.59% and 87.01%. This means that the implementation of Civics with models Project-based learning goes very well. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the use of models Project-based learning can improve student learning outcomes in teaching civics class IV SDN 28 Jorong Nan Tigo. Based on the conclusions of this study researchers suggest that teachers can use the method or approach Project based learning models to create better student learning outcomes in learning.
