Abstrak

Abstract

Mathematics learning process in SMP Bunda Padang is still dominated by the teacher. In the learning the students had less motivation, only a few students who pay attention the teacher explains the lesson and there are many student to copy retort the other student, so that students are less active and low learning outcomes. To overcome the problems, then the learning of mathematics applied model of cooperative learning techniques exchanging greetings and questions. This type of research is experimental study with a population of VIII students of SMP Bunda Padang, VIII1 grade samples (experimental class) and VIII2 class (control class). After doing the analysis, obtained by χ 2 = 5.63. Based on the table χ 2 with χ2= 5.63 and db = 1 obtained 0.005 < p <0.01 then p <0, 05 then H0 rejected and H1 accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the activities and results of students' mathematics learning increased after applying model of cooperative learning techniques exchanging greetings and questions.
