Abstrak

This research is motivated by the low student learning outcomes in learning cognitive Civics students in the ability to remember and understand, as well as affective student is student participation. This research aims to improve student learning outcomes through learning model Mind Mapping. This research is a classroom action research with students 20 people. Data were taken from the teacher activity sheet, observation sheet affective aspects of students, student achievement test sheet. Based on the results of this research is that the average student learning outcomes in a given cycle I was 76, an increase in cycle II was 78.5. For the average comprehension in the first cycle was 75.1, an increase in cycle II was 77.39. For the average participation of the students do the exercise in the first cycle was 59.37, an increase in cycle II was 67.5. This may mean that Mind Mapping learning model can improve studentlearning outcomes IV SDN 08 Binjai Tapan.
