PENINGKATAN MINAT DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS V MELALUI MODEL DISCOVERY LEARNING PADA MATA PELAJARAN MATEMATIKA DI SDN 17 BALAI AHAD KECAMATAN LUBUK BASUNG KABUPATEN AGAM

Abstrak

This research was motivated by the low interest and mathematics learning outcomes fifth grade students of SDN 17 Balai Ahad. The aim of this research is to describe the increasing interest and student learning outcomes in mathematics by using a model of Discovery Learning in class V SDN 17 Balai Ahad. Type of this research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) held in the second semester of the school year 2014/2015 in SDN 17 Balai Ahad Kecamatan Lubuk Basung, Agam regency. The subjects were students of class V SDN 17 Balai Ahad Agam regency totaling 17 students. This study consisted of two cycles of meetings held twice each cycle. The results showed an increasing of the students interest in the first cycle was 74.78%, increased in the second cycle into 80.06%. The average of students learning results in the first cycle is 68.66, increased in the second cycle into 88.23. This means that the implementation of learning mathematics using model Discovery Learning goes well. Based on the research results, concluded that the use of the model of Discovery Learning can increase interest and mathematics learning outcomes in class V SDN 17 Balai Ahad Agam.
