PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN THINK TALK WRITE PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VII SMPN 31 PADANG

Abstract
The low result of students mathematics learning in grade of SMPN 31 Padang caused by several factors such as students are less active in the learning process and lack of motivation to learn. When teacher explain the lesson, there are students not giving attention and still busy with their own activity. And when teacher giving a chance to ask or explain their opinion, students still shamed and doubt to ask and answer. Beside that, not all of student active on discussion. To solve this problem the author conducted research with implementation of Think Talk Write model in students mathematics learning. This research aims to determine result of students mathematics learning with aplication of Think Talk Write model. The type of this research is experimental. The population is all students in class VII of SMPN 31 Padang. Of eight classes chosen two sample class, as experiment class and as control class. Data of students learning outcomes obtained by giving a test to both of sample classes. To test the hypothesis used t-test by level . Account data of students learning is and . Because of , the research hypothesis is accepted. So the outcomes of students mathematics learning applying Think Talk Write model is better than outcomes of students mathematics learning applying scientifict approach.
