PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS PUISI SISWA MELALUI MEDIA GAMBAR SISWA KELAS VIII.1 DI SMP BUDI MULIA PADANG

Abstrak

This research was motivated by the lack of  students’ writing poetry ability of VIII.I grade of SMP Budi Mulia Padang. The purpose of this research was to describe the improvement of students’ writing poetry ability by using pictures at SMP Budi Mulia Padang. The theory used was proposed by Tarin (2008), Wahyu (2014), and Sadiman et al. (1986). This type of research is a class action research. This research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings.The sample of this research was VIII.1 grade students of SMP Budi Mulia Padang which was 22 students. Technique of collecting data was using written tests and field recording. Based on the results of data analysis research are: (1) the average results of students' writing poetry ability in the first cycle was 73 and rose to 86 in the second cycle, it can be concluded that students’ writing poetry ability of VIII.1 grade of SMP Budi Mulia Padang could be improved by using picture media.
