Abstrak

Learning math is generally dominated by the introduction of formulas and concepts verbally, without enough attention to the students' understanding. These conditions also appear to look at the learning of mathematics in SDN 32 Sungai Nanam. From preliminary studies that the author did in SD N 32  Sungai Nanam obtained the fact that the geometry math learning materials, students' cognitive assessment results show the results that have not been perfect. Of the 24 fourth grade students, only 11 students who obtained their cognitive value above KKM 75, with the percentage of completeness of 45.8% while the remaining 13 learners again acquire the cognitive value under the KKM. To the authors conducted a study to see an increase in motivation and results of students' mathematics learning using learning model make a match in fourth grade SDN 32 Sungai Nanam Alahan Panjang.

The general objective of this study was to describe the increase in motivation and results of students' mathematics learning geometry using learning model make a match in fourth grade SDN 32 Sungai Nanam Kecamatan Lembah Gumanti.

This study was conducted using action research methods class conducted collaboratively through two cycles. From the observations made by the observer and the results of evaluation of mathematics learning geometry, an increase in student motivation which impact on improving student learning outcomes completeness to 70.8% in the first cycle and 87.5% in the second cycle, with an average value of 77 , 5 in the first cycle and 86.7 in the second cycle. So that the results of this study can be concluded that the use of make a match the learning model can improve students' ability to learn math geometry material.
