Abstrak

The research is background by the low learning achievement of cognitive and affective aspects of fifth grade students in social studies learning, this is caused by teachers who tend to use the lecture method as well as a lack of giving guidance and motivation to students. General objective of this study was to describe the increase in class V student learning outcomes using models Numbered Heads Together on learning IPS at SDN 31 Limau Manis South Coast. This type of research is a classroom action research. The research was conducted in two cycles, one cycle of two meetings. The research subject grade V students of SDN 31 Limau Manis South Coast amounted to 15 people. The research instrument is a teacher activity observation sheets, test sheets and sheets of observations affective aspects. Based on this research, the cognitive aspects of obtaining an average value of 72.67 with the percentage of completeness 60% increase to 83.67 with the percentage of completeness 87%, affective aspects of cooperation skills first cycle of the average value of 73.30 with the percentage increasing to 50% completeness 94.50 with the percentage of completeness 83% while the ability of responsibility gained an average value of 70.00 with the percentage of completeness 50% increase to 93.40 with the percentage of completeness 80%. Thus the student learning outcomes can be improved through the model Numbered Heads Together (NHT).
