Abstrak

This research is motivated by the low student learning outcomes that can be seen from the results of daily tests II in the first semester students only be listeners in the learning process. Students in the learning process is not focused on learning, but there are some students out during the learning process. Students lack confidence when doing exercises by the teacher. The purpose of this study was to describe improving student learning outcomes in social studies learning using study model Concept Mapping in class IV SDN 03 Pauh Pasir Pariaman, Pariaman District of Central. This research is a classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings and one final exam cycle. The subjects were fourth grade students of SDN 03 Pauh Pasir Pariaman, which amounted to 14 people. The research instrument used was the observation sheet teaching activities of teachers, students' test results, field notes. Based on the research results, the test results of the students' learning with an average value of students in the first cycle was 64.28 increased to 77.5 in the second cycle, there is an increase in 13.22. This means learning social studies using Concept Mapping learning model can improve learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN 03 Pauh Pasir Pariaman. Based on these results, the researchers suggested that teachers can use learning model Concept Mapping in learning to improve studentlearningoutcomes.
