Abstrak

This research is motivated by the lack of speaking skills of students in the learning process Indonesian. The purpose of this research is to increase students' speaking skills in learning Indonesian in class V SDN 13 Patamuan Padang Pariaman through Role Playing models. This research is a classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings and one final exam cycle. The subjects were students of class V SDN 13 Patamuan, totaling 14 people. The research instrument used was the observation sheet speaking skills of students, teacher observation sheet aspects in learning, test results and students' cognitive learning. Based on the research that has been done can be seen that the average value of the final repetition cycle I is 67.8 with a percentage of 57.2% completeness study and the average value of the end of the second cycle repetition is 83.2 to 78.6% the percentage of completeness. From the analysis of observation sheets speaking skills of students obtained an average percentage in the first cycle was 70.8%, while in the second cycle the average percentage obtained 80.4%. This means that the implementation of learning Indonesian by using models Role Playing well underway. Based on these results, the researchers suggested that teachers can use the model of Role Playing in learning to improve student learning outcomes.
