PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MODEL MAKE A MATCH SISWA KELAS IV DI SDN 15 KOTO PANJANG KECAMATAN BATANG KAPAS KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN

This study was motivated by the lack of reading skills of students learning Indonesian, as well as the teachers still and to use methods of lecture and question and answer. This study aimed to describe the reading ability of students learning Indonesian in class IV SDN 15 Koto Panjang through Make A Match models. The theory used in this research is the theory of reading by Dalman (2013), the types of reading by Tarin (2008), and the model of Make A Match by Istarani (2012). This research is a classroom action research (PTK). Fourth students study subjects totaling 18 people. The study was conducing in two cycles. Based on the results of research conducted at SDN 15 Koto Panjang, the use of models Make A Match can improve students' reading ability. Judging from the average reading ability of students 62.96% first cycle increased to 78.70% in the second cycle. Results of the study, the average percentage of teachers aktivity increased 72.5% from the first cycle increased to 90% in the second cycle. While the average student learning outcomes in the first cycle of 65.55 increased in the second cycle into 78.33. Based on this it can be said to be a model Make A Match can improve the reading skills of students in learning Indonesian.
