PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA DENGAN STRATEGI MEDIA GRAFIS KARTU DI KELAS V SDN 04 SAGO KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN

This study aims to describe the process of improving reading skills of students learning Indonesian in class V SDN 04 Sago through graphic media strategy card. The theory is used as a reference is the theory Sudjana (2011) to analyze the data, graphic media card used theory Enidarwaniswati (2006). This research is a classroom action research (PTK) held in the first semester of the 2015/2016 academic year at SDN 04 Sago Kecamatan IV Jurai Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. The subjects were students of class V SDN 04 Sago Kecamatan IV Jurai Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan totaling 20 students. The study was conducted in two cycles and each cycle consisting of two meetings. The research instrument is observation sheet reading ability of students, teachers and test aspects of learning outcomes. Based on this research, the average percentage of aktvitas teachers has increased from 70.83% the first cycle increased to 87.49% in the second cycle. The average activity of students in the first cycle is 64% increased in the second cycle becomes 82.5%. The results showed the students' reading ability in the first cycle was 66 with the thoroughness of the students as much as 9 people (45%) and increased in the second cycle to 78 with completeness 17 people (85%) in the second cycle. It can be concluded that the use of graphic media cards can improve the reading skills of students learning Indonesian in class V SDN 04 Sago. It is therefore recommended to the teacher to be able to use the media card graphics in learning Indonesian in SD.
