This research is motivated by the situation of students learning mathematics students were passive learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the learning activities of students in Problem Solving Mathematical models and also to improve cognitive learning outcomes of students. Type of research is classroom action research. This study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings and continued with achievement test. The subject of this study is the fifth grade students of SDN 32 Koto Keduduk totaling 18 people, consisting of 12 boys and 6 girls. The research instrument in this study is the observation sheet activities of teacher, student activity sheets observation, field notes and test results of the students' learning. Based on the analysis of process observation sheet the students activities at each cycle of activities respond to the students obtained percentage increased from 41.66% to 66.58%, given the activity increased from 27.77% to 63.88%, analyzing activity increased from 41.66% to 69.43%, problem solving activity increased from 41.66% to 72.22%. Learning outcomes of students also increased from 83.33% to 100% with an average value of 82.22. On average the process of teachers is 75.51% in each cycle. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the teaching of Mathematics Problem Solving models can increase the activity and results of students of class V SDN 32 Koto Keduduk.
