GAYA BAHASA DALAM LIRIK LAGU RATU SIKUMBANG ALBUM HIDUIK DI RANTAU SUBARANG

Abstrak

The purpose of this study to descibe the language that is found in lyric of Ratu Sikumbang’s song in Hiduik di Rantau Subarang. Meanwhile, the theory that is used in this study is opinion of Tarigan (2009) and Keraf (2010) about kinds of language styles. This research is qualitative research that produces the data that is language style of lyrics in album Hiduik di Rantau Subarang that is sung by Ratu Sikumbang. That methode of this study is desciptive methode that is done by classifying, analysing, and colecting the data. According to the data, language style that is found in lyricc of Ratu Sikumbang’s song in album Hiduik di Rantau Subarang is : (1) hyperbola, (2) personification, (3) parable, (4) repetition, (5) allegory, (6) metaphore, (7) irony. Based on the result of data analysis, it can be conclude that most of lyric use hyperbola style because hyperbola explains something excessvely, so that listener will be interested to  heard that song.
