Teaching Reading Aloud by Using Repeated Reading Method for Junior High School

Abstrak

The purposes of this paper are to discuss the teaching reading aloud by using repeated reading, as an alternative teaching method in junior high school.  Moreover, this paper also aims to be a guideline for English teacher to teach reading more interestingly. The writer hopes this method can improve students’ ability in reading skill. Repeated reading method is a method that can improve students' in reading skill. The students follow the teacher to read. Then, when the students read, the teacher records that passage. After that, the recording is displayed again and played to the students so that the students can read correctly. It is expected that by using this method can increase students’ motivation in learning English, especially in learning to read. This method is very useful for students, especially for students of junior high school.
