Abstrak

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students of class XI SMA PGRI 1 Padang. One contributing factor is that students do not understand the subject matter presented teacher and when the teacher explains the subject matter students mostly talking with friends. Therefore, teachers use cooperative learning model Scramble to motivate students to be more active in learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the cognitive learning ICT use cooperative learning model scramble better than conventional learning in class XI SMA PGRI 1 Padang. Type of research is experimental research with the entire population of students of class XI SMA PGRI 1 Padang. Sampling technique is by using purposive sampling technique is to determine the average value is almost the same in social studies class XI and then to determine the experimental class and control class is done randomly in order to get a class XI IPS 2 as an experimental class and class XI IPS 5 as the control class , Student learning outcomes obtained through the ultimate test in the form of questions scramble as many as 20 items with an average value for the experimental class= 79.82 and control class = 75.89 and test-t then obtained t = 2.069 and t table = 1.674 for t> t table then reject H0 and accept H1, that means learning using cooperative learning model scramble is better than using conventional learning. It was concluded that the cognitive learning of ICT students learning using cooperative learning model scramble better than ICT learning outcomes of students using conventional learning in class XI SMA PGRI 1 Padang.
