NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM NOVEL SENGSARA MEMBAWA NIKMAT KARYA TULIS SUTAN SATI
Abstrak
The aim of research to describe the educational value of a character in the novel "Sengsara Membawa Nikmat" by Tulis St. Sati. The theory used is the opinion Said Hamid Hasan, et al (2006), which includes 18 pillars of character. The research is a qualitative study using descriptive methods Mardalis (2007). Data collection is done by: (1) reading the novel Sengsara Membawa Nikmat the work of Tulis St. Sati so it can understand the language presented in the novel, (2) records the data associated with the object of research, and classify data based on penelitian.Teknik problems of data analysis done by: (1) to analyze the data that have been classified in accordance with aspects studied, (2) interpret the results of data analysis, classify and (3) formulating the conclusion of the study. Based on the analysis of data on novel Sengsara Membawa Nikmat the work of Tulis St. Sati there are 15 aspects of character education that values religious values, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, love of the homeland, recognize excellence, friendship, love of peace, social care and responsibility. The dominant character of educational value is the value of education found that there are 11 religious character data and character education values of social care, there are 4 data, while the value of character education that is not found in this novel is the national spirit, love to read, and care for the environment. Thus, it can be concluded that the novel Sengsara Membawa Nikmat works Tulis St. Sati contains the values of character education.
