Abstrak

This study purposed to describe the ability to write poetry VII.D grade students by using engineering objects directly in MTsN Paninjauan seen from the use of imagery in poetry. The theory used in this study were (1) the theory of Tarigan (2008) about writing, (2) the theory Pradopo (1993) about poetry, (3) theory Pradopo (1993) about imaging, and (4) the theory Suyanto (2004) about object techniques. The research is a qualitative study using descriptive method proposed by Moleong (2010). The subjects were all students in grade VII.D MTsN Paninjauan registered in the academic year 2015/2016. Total students VII.D class is 22 students, which consisted of 11 female students and 11 male students with a research focus on aspects of imaging. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the ability to write poetry VII.D grade students using the technique of direct object in MTsN Paninjauan review of aspects of imaging, 16 students have been able to describe aspects of both the imagery and 6 students are still less capable of depicting images , The average value obtained on the imaging aspect is 67.64 with qualifying category is more than enough. Thus, the general ability MTsN Paninjauan VII.D grade students in writing poetry can be increased further in using imaging varies, because poetry is more dominant students using visual images and motion images than auditory images, olfactory images, images of touch, and imagery foretaste.
